* Note: Clay is done. We will wait for the clay to dry completely and then it will need to be fired before adding paint/glaze. In the mean time we are moving on to painting.

10/20 Tuesday- Color Theory- Color Wheel
Demo: Painting Basics, proper brush handling, mixing and control
Studio Time: Begin Painting Color Wheel Worksheet. (click color wheel button at the top of this page.)
10/21 Wednesday- Painting Day 2- Complete Color Wheel Painting Practice in clss
Warm-Up: Google Classroom Pop-Quiz titled "Color Theory Pop-Quiz"
If absent. take the quiz on your own. It is for a grade.
Homework: Bring in 5+ objects that express/describe who you are.
Think of things that represent your values, role models, beliefs, heritage, culture
10/22 Thursday- Color Wheel Painting Practice (This is still incomplete students will finish on Friday if more time is needed)
Due: 5 Objects from Home that represent you. (20pts. each cannot be from your backpack)
Intro Painting Project.
Take Core Values Survey in class- if absent get this from Ms. Van
Review: 8 Tips for a Strong Composition
Discuss the releavence of knowing your core values and how you can use these to spark ideas of what other objects
you might bring in to add to your personal still life. Take 5+ pictures of a still life applying the 8 tips of a strong composition using your personal items. Practice perfecting your eye.
10/23 Friday- Mystery Reveal Drawing of Igor Stravinsky.

Directions: divide your paper in 8 equal parts vertically with a straight line.
Pring of Igor and divide him into 8 equal parts too.
Using a seperate sheet of paper cover up-side-down Igor except for the first section
Draw one section at a time. Focus on line, shape and space and placing imagery in the correct spot.
Goal: Train your brain to listen to your eyes. See what is really in front of you and begin to make inferences about where things are in relationship to parts around it.
Due: Mystery Reveal Drawing of Igor at the end of the hour
WEEK 10 October 26-30
10/26 Monday- Review 8 tips for a strong omposition and how to be succesful when arranging a still life.
Using items brought in create what will become your final project still life. Begin a rough draft in your sketchbook.
Use a full page of paper and before beginning to draw add in the Grid or "tick-tack-tow" board for the rule of thirds. Make sure the focal point lands on one of the intersections.
Goal- By the end of the hour you should have 1/2 of your still life drawing in your sketchbook. Your "ticket" to move on tomorrow in css to your final still life drawing on final paper will be your roughed out sketch of the still lie you will do.
10/27 Tuesday- Complete Rough draft in sketchbook for a grade (due by the end of the hour) Begin working on final penciling in objects.
10/28 Wednesday- Studio Time: Complete Pencil outline on final still life.
10/29 Thursday- Due: Painting Practice at the end of the hour.

11/4 Wednesday- Due: Pencil Outlines- Turn in both the photograph on your phone (with the gridlines!)
and the pencil outline on your artwork to my google drive
