Introduce Color Mixing:
1. use Magazine as a Painters Pallette (we don't use newspaper because it absorbs a lot of paint and is hard to mix)
2. Use a clean brush to scoop up a dab of paint
3. Mix paints together on the magazine page. (all the way so there are no swirls)
4. Roll your brush onto the magazine to get the paint off your brush and back onto your magazine page so you can load paint only on the tip of the brisltes.
Review coloring expectations
1. Flat value
2. 4-6 different colors used (approximately)
3. Colors repeated 3-5 times each (approximately)
4. Stay INSIDE the lines of shapes and on TOP of lines.
5. Use bright bold colors- you are allowed to mix colors as long as you do not make neutrals (browns, grays, tans etc)
6. Paint in larger areas first. After they are dried if there is small detail paint over the top with a fine tipped round brush.
